Utahraptor was a terrifying beast that lived during the Early Cretaceous or in other words, somewhere around 135–130 million years ago. Just about 30–40 million years before the almighty Tyranosaurus Rex and most of the big boys from the Late Cretaceous period.
It is from the family of the bird-like theropods a.k.a. Avetheropoda asd it is known for its enormous size. According to the latest researches the size of the Utahraptor was somewhere between 5 to 7 meters (16–23 feet) in length and 1.5–2 meters (5–6.5 feet) height at the hips. With this XXL size it is believed to have weighted somewhere between 500–1,000 kg (1,100–2,200 lbs).
The largest from the Raptors family and most probably was much more deadly than their famous cousins the Velociraptors.
The Utahraptor primary weapons were the curved sickle shaped claws, strong and powerful jaws full of razor sharp teeth.
