Danger Pack Figure Guide
Velociraptor Danger Pack
Velociraptor is the most famous raptor of all, and the Danger Pack range of Jurassic World Epic Evolution brought it back in 2024 in a bold brick-red coat. Mattel reused a raptor sculpt from the Jurassic World Dominion line, gave it a dark brown head, darker stripes along the back and a white throat, and put it on a new Epic Evolution card. Here is what the figure looks like, where the sculpt came from, and how to unlock it in the Jurassic World Play App.

Toy Line Spotlight: One Sculpt, Two Lines
This Velociraptor is not a new sculpt. Mattel first made it for the Jurassic World Dominion line, then gave it a fresh coat of paint for Epic Evolution.
If you already own the Dominion raptor, this is the same figure in a new colour. If not, it is an easy way to add a raptor to an Epic Evolution shelf.
What Is Danger Pack?
Danger Pack is the smaller, battery-free assortment of Mattel’s Epic Evolution line, the 2024 follow-up to Dino Trackers. The figures have movable joints and a DNA code that unlocks the animal in the Jurassic World Play App, but no sounds or motorised attacks.
The Velociraptor arrived in the second Danger Pack wave and came back in the third, so it is one of the easier Epic Evolution figures to find.
Paint and Colours
Body, arms, legs and tail
Top of the head, snout and stripes along the back
Eyes
Lower jaw and throat
A warm, simple scheme. Most of the figure is brick red, with darker brown stripes running down the back and tail. The top of the head is dark brown, the lower jaw and throat are white, and the yellow eyes have black pupils. Paint is kept to the head and back, so the belly, arms and legs show plain red plastic.
Sculpt and Detail
Head and arms
The head is long and low, with an opening jaw and a row of small teeth. The arms fold forward with three curved claws on each hand, and the shoulders rotate for grabbing poses.
Legs and claws
The legs are long and slim, and each foot has the raised sickle claw on the second toe. The long tail is held straight out behind to balance the body in a forward-leaning stance.

Action Features and Articulation
✓ Movable neck, arms and legs✓ Opening jaw✓ No batteries needed✗ No sound or attack motion
Like every Danger Pack figure, Velociraptor keeps things simple: a swivelling neck, rotating arms and legs, an opening jaw and no electronics. It is small and cheap enough to collect several for a full raptor pack.
Size and Specs
About 20 cm (8 in) long and 7.5 cm (3 in) tall at the hip, for ages 4 and up. Mattel has made many Velociraptor figures, so look for the Epic Evolution logo and the brick-red paint to be sure you have this one.
Is It Worth Buying?
This Velociraptor is an easy, affordable way to add a raptor to an Epic Evolution collection. The red paint stands out on a shelf, it needs no batteries, and it is cheap enough to buy in multiples. Collectors who already own the Dominion version, or who want a feathered raptor, can skip it.
It came out in 2024 as part of the second Danger Pack wave.

About Velociraptor
The first Velociraptor fossil, a crushed but complete skull and a toe claw, was found by Peter Kaisen on 11 August 1923 at the Flaming Cliffs in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia, during an American Museum of Natural History expedition. Henry Fairfield Osborn named it Velociraptor mongoliensis, swift seizer, in 1924.
It lived about 75 to 71 million years ago in a dry landscape of sand dunes, alongside Protoceratops, Oviraptor and the armoured Pinacosaurus. Adults were about 1.5 to 2 m long including the tail, around 0.5 m tall at the hip and roughly 15 kg, with a long, low, slightly upturned snout.
More than a dozen skeletons are now known, making it one of the best-understood raptors. A second species, Velociraptor osmolskae, was named in 2008 from fossils found in Inner Mongolia, China.
