About Einiosaurus
Einiosaurus was named in 1995 by Scott Sampson from bonebeds in the Two Medicine Formation of Montana, USA. The name means buffalo lizard, from the Blackfeet word eini.
It lived in the Late Cretaceous, about 75 million years ago. It was about 4.5 m long.
Einiosaurus was a centrosaurine ceratopsid, a plant eater with a curved nose horn and two long spikes on its frill.
