Danger Pack Figure Guide
Guanlong Danger Pack
Guanlong is a small crested hunter from China and one of the oldest known tyrannosaurs, with a tall, thin crest running along its snout. In Jurassic World Epic Evolution it comes in the Guanlong vs Lystrosaurus Danger Pack, a two-pack from the third wave in 2024, as a charcoal figure with cream legs and an orange, striped crest. Here is what the figure looks like, the strange way its fossils were found, and how to unlock it in the Jurassic World Play App.

Fossil Story: The Death Pit
The first Guanlong skeletons were found stacked on top of each other in a deep pit.
The older Guanlong had a larger crest than the younger one, which helped scientists learn how the crest grew.
What Is Danger Pack?
Danger Pack is the smaller, battery-free assortment of Mattel’s Epic Evolution line, the 2024 follow-up to Dino Trackers. The figures have movable joints and a DNA code that unlocks the animal in the Jurassic World Play App, but no sounds or motorised attacks.
Guanlong and Lystrosaurus came in the third Danger Pack wave of 2024 as a two-pack, alongside Apatosaurus, Gallimimus and a repack of the Velociraptor. Wave 3 boxes carry Jurassic World Chaos Theory branding from the Netflix series.

About Guanlong
Guanlong was named in 2006 by Xu Xing and colleagues from skeletons found in the Shishugou Formation of the Junggar Basin, Xinjiang, China. The name means crowned dragon.
It lived in the Late Jurassic, about 160 million years ago, and was about 3 m long.
Guanlong is one of the earliest known tyrannosauroids. Its thin, hollow crest was probably too fragile for fighting and may have been used for display.
