🎮 About the Survival Line
The Jurassic World Survival line depicts mutated versions of dinosaurs, tied to the Survival PS5 game concept, with exaggerated features and unusual colouration. The Real Feel figures take a different route: instead of sculpting the mutation in, they wrap a soft, rubbery skin over the body, so the strangeness is something you feel as well as see. This raptor pushes the colour side of that idea about as far as it will go.

The red raptor is articulated at the arms, legs and jaw, which makes it a perfect target for Owen’s chase — the set is designed to be played with as a scene rather than posed once and left. Its counterpart, the ghost-white Velociraptor Blue, has its own page.
Paint & Colour Scheme
This Velociraptor is moulded in a solid, bright red with a hint of orange in it. A couple of tiger stripes in darker tones run across the back, and that is the whole of the Survival camouflage — there is very little paint applied over the moulded colour.
The bold, near-monochrome look contrasts sharply with the realistic deco on the Owen figure and with the pale, ghostly white of the Velociraptor Blue in the same set. Side by side, the two raptors read as a matched pair of extremes rather than two variations on a theme.
Sculpt & Articulation
Real Feel Skin
The raptor has a soft, rubbery skin stretched over its body, giving it a more premium and lifelike texture than a standard hard-plastic Velociraptor figure. On a figure this saturated the soft finish matters more than usual: it takes the plastic-toy edge off a colour that would otherwise look like a bath duck.
Pose and Joints
The sculpt is the familiar, dynamic Mattel raptor pose — identical to its white counterpart in the pack. Articulation runs to the arms, the legs and the jaw, enough for the chase scenarios the set is built around.

Size & Specs
Verdict — Should You Buy It?
Buy it for the set. As a chase playset the Moto Pursuit Pack works well — Owen is articulated, the motorcycle free-wheels, and the restraint hoop and launcher give kids something to do with both raptors. The Real Feel skin is a genuine step up in hand. The red raptor itself is the more eye-catching of the pair, but it is also the more one-note: a moulded colour with a couple of stripes and not much else. Whether that reads as bold or as unfinished is a matter of taste.

About the Velociraptor
Owen’s Log, Day 45: The raptors are… a choice. We’ve got the ghost-white one, and then there’s this one. This bright red one. It’s got “Real Feel” skin, which is great, but it’s also the colour of a stop sign, which is… fitting, I guess? It’s like it’s trying to warn the herbivores. Or maybe it just fell into a vat of paprika. Hard to say.— Owen Grady
Velociraptor — “speedy thief” — was a small dromaeosaurid from the Late Cretaceous of Mongolia, and far smaller than the films suggest: around 2 metres (6.5 feet) long and only 15 to 20 kilograms. What made it dangerous was not bulk but speed, intelligence and the enlarged sickle claw on the second toe of each foot.
Nothing about the real animal explains a stop-sign red raptor, of course. That is the point of the Reimagined billing: these are Survival-line interpretations rather than attempts at accuracy, and the colour exists to make the chase read at a glance.
