I can remember the hype around Indominus Rex when it first appeared and stole the show from Rexy. No wonder it is still one of my son most favourite toys.
The sculpture of this figure is detailed and well-done, particularly the textured little details and spikes on its surface. It perfectly resembles the creature from the movie although the teeth could be sharper and more intimidating. However, it is typical for a children’s toy to have slightly duller teeth. Still, the Indominus Rex teeth look sharper than Rexys teeth.
The size of the Indominus Rex also follows the idea that Indominus Rex is slightly bigger than Rexy and the scale looks just right although I am no Ingen employee.
The paint job on the dinosaur figure is also fantastic, with the majority of the figure being white with darker shading on the back and around the eyes The eyes are dark red and very menacing.
The toy is battery operated with two different button with corresponding sounds. The button around the neck moves the hands and plays slashing sounds. The second button at the base of the tail controls the jaws and it upon multiple presses plays different roars and the dinosaur throat glows.
The only drawback is with the toy is that a lot of the dinosaur surface is covered in hard plastic spikes. If you accidentally step on it or god forbid kick it, you can easily heart yourself.
Overall, it is an amazing toy and one of my son’s favourite dinosaurs to play with.

It is a big, mean-looking, dinosaur with sounds and different motions and true Tyrannosaurus Rex rival.
Build Quality
The Indominus Rex is very sturdy toy. The limbs are tough and easily posable. The designed dinosaur figure is painted in great detail closely following the movie counterpart.
Dangerous Parts
Indominus Rex is made out of very hard plastic and since it is covered mostly in spikes, stepping on it or kicking it could easily hurt you or your kids. If the toy is thrown it could cause serious damage.
Material Odors
The toy has no scent or any specific bad odours.
Interactive Play
Indominus Rex’s size along with its pretty unique sounds, and the chomping action of the jaws is just perfect.
Fun Factor
The interactiveness of the dinosaur combined with the slashing hands makes Indominus Rex a fierce combatant in all kid’s favourite choices for Dino Duels.
