Jurassic World Survival Gorgosaurus

“So, the focus group said the Gorgosaurus wasn’t ‘dreadful’ enough. We fixed that. We took its head, put a pair of horns on it, added some ankylosaur armor, and finished it with a thagomizer. It’s now less of a ‘dreadful lizard’ and more of a ‘dreadful… everything.’ We’re not sure what it is, but we know it’s not happy about it.”InGen Asset Designer

The Gorgosaurus from the Gigantic Thrashers lineup looks less like a sleek tyrannosaur and more like a walking tank, borrowing features from other dinosaurs to create a formidable-looking brawler.

The figure is completely dominated by its Survival spiky armor. It is surprising to see two small almost like Carnotaurus horns on its head. It is almost entirely covered in a rocky texture and  thick, dark, raised armor plates down its spine and a heavily armored tail that ends in a cluster of large spikes, almost like an Ankylosaur’s club or a Stegosaur’s thagomizer.

As a member of the Gigantic Thrashers lineup, its primary feature is a powerful, spinning tail action and a powerful jaw bite and expanding armour plates on the back.

The figure’s base color is orange. This is sharply contrasted by the dark brown of the heavy armor on its head and back. The spikes and armor plates on the tail are a vibrant red/orange, blending out from the main body color.

This one, however, has more painting details on its legs that complement the massive overall look of the Gorgosaurus

My name is Stoyan, but in the dinosaur community, I’m often known as DinoDaddy. As the creator of JurassicDNA.com, I manage the world’s largest free DNA code database for the Jurassic World™ Play App.

This project began as a personal mission. Inspired by my son’s incredible passion for dinosaurs, I realized how difficult it was for parents and collectors to track down every code. I’ve since dedicated thousands of hours to curating, verifying, and updating this collection to ensure it remains the most complete and trusted resource for Mattel DNA Scan Codes globally.

When I am not documenting new species or updating the database, I’m usually on the floor playing with my son who remains my most demanding 'quality control' expert.
