“OK, here we have the Kronosaurus. A predator that once ruled the seas of Colombia and Australia. Now get this: the marine reptile was named after the titan Kronos, a legendary ruler of Greek mythology’s golden age. Pretty cool, right?

This apex predator lived in the Early Cretaceous seas of Australia and Colombia.
Kronosaurus is a marine reptile from the pliosaur family dating back to the Early Cretaceous period and takes its name from Kronos, the leader of the Titans in Greek mythology.
Kronosaurus’ large, sharp teeth and enormous size – it can grow to in excess of 10m in length – made it the apex predator of its era, while this genus’ powerful flippers allow it to swim at high speeds.
