Why was the Triceratops such a popular dinosaur? Because it was always tri-horny!
Alan Grant

Chasmosaurus is a genus of ceratopsid dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 75-70 million years ago. It belongs to the group of horned, frilled dinosaurs known as ceratopsians, which includes well-known dinosaur fan favourites like the Triceratops.

Specific for the Chasmosaurus details are the large, frill at the back of its head, which is a characteristic feature of ceratopsian dinosaurs.
The frill had large openings, and fenestrae, making it lighter in weight.
It also possessed both a nasal horn on the snout and smaller brow horns above its eyes.

Chasmosaurus was a relatively large dinosaur, with an estimated length of around 14 to 16 feet (4 to 5 meters) which is quite cute.

My name is Stoyan, but in the dinosaur community, I’m often known as DinoDaddy. As the creator of JurassicDNA.com, I manage the world’s largest free DNA code database for the Jurassic World™ Play App.

This project began as a personal mission. Inspired by my son’s incredible passion for dinosaurs, I realized how difficult it was for parents and collectors to track down every code. I’ve since dedicated thousands of hours to curating, verifying, and updating this collection to ensure it remains the most complete and trusted resource for Mattel DNA Scan Codes globally.

When I am not documenting new species or updating the database, I’m usually on the floor playing with my son who remains my most demanding 'quality control' expert.
