Vespersaurus – Frenzy Pack

This is a fantastic new addition to the Mattel lineup, bringing new awesome looking and never before released dinosaur in their toy lines.

The sculpt is very similar to the one of the Galiminos but much more fearsome looking. There is a very well detailed feathered texture at the back the tail and the legs of the dinosaur. This at least to me, is giving it a very realistic look compared to more traditional scaly theropods.

The entire body, particularly the back, neck, and arms, is covered in a thick, sculpted, feather-like coat. This heavy ” plumage” gives it a rugged, resilient appearance that fits perfectly with the “Survival” line’s aesthetic.

As part of the “Frenzy Pack”  series, this figure includes the signature articulated jaw as well as hind and front limbs. It can be posed in a closed-mouth stance or opened wide for a more aggressive display.

The toy features a strong two-tone color blocking. The main feathered body, legs, and head are a deep brownish-red. This is sharply contrasted by a light tan or pale beige color that covers the entire tail and the underbelly, running up to the lower jaw. The face on the other hand, is brightly red. You wouldn’t try to pet this one for sure.
