Rauisuchus

“Crocodiles, Aligators, Kaymans the all look lazy but oh god do they run when then feel like it.”
Owen Grady

Rauisuchus is an extinct genus of archosaur that lived during the Late Triassic period, or in other words somewhere about 210 million years ago. It belonged to a group of large, carnivorous reptiles known as rauisuchians, distant relatives of crocodiles and dinosaurs. Rauisuchus was a formidable predator, and its fossils have been found in various locations, including South America and Africa.

Rauisuchus was a large reptile, with some species reaching lengths of around 20 feet (6 meters) or more. It had a strong and elongated body, with powerful limbs and a long tail, adapted for a semi-aquatic lifestyle. Its limb proportions and body structure suggest that it could move easily on land and in water, much like modern crocodiles.
