Rauisuchus Danger Pack
Rauisuchus was one of the top predators of the Triassic, a big-headed hunter from the crocodile side of the reptile family that ruled before dinosaurs grew large. Mattel added it to the fourth Danger Pack wave of Jurassic World Epic Evolution in 2024, in a Chaos Theory branded box, as a teal-backed reptile with a spiky ridge and a tan belly. Food Chain: Before the Dinosaurs Ruled
In the Triassic, the biggest hunters were not dinosaurs at all.
Only after the end-Triassic extinction wiped out most of these reptiles did dinosaurs take over as the top predators.
What Is Danger Pack?
Danger Pack is the smaller, battery-free assortment of Mattel’s Epic Evolution line, the 2024 follow-up to Dino Trackers. The figures have movable joints and a DNA code that unlocks the animal in the Jurassic World Play App, but no sounds or motorised attacks.
Rauisuchus came in the fourth Danger Pack wave of 2024 with Dimorphodon. Like wave 3, the boxes carry Jurassic World Chaos Theory branding from the Netflix series.
Paint and Colours
A bold, two-tone scheme. The back, neck and tail are a rich teal green with darker spots, and a spiky ridge runs along the spine. The belly, legs and jaw are a sandy tan, and the open mouth shows big white teeth.

The head is large and deep with a long, toothy jaw that opens wide. Bony bumps sit above the eyes.
Body and legs
Rauisuchus stands upright on four legs held under the body, more like a dinosaur than a crocodile. A row of spiky scutes runs from neck to tail.

About Rauisuchus
Rauisuchus was named in 1938 by Friedrich von Huene from fossils found in the Santa Maria Formation of southern Brazil. The name means Rau’s crocodile, after the collector Wilhelm Rau.
It lived in the Late Triassic, roughly 235 to 221 million years ago, and was about 4 m long.
Rauisuchus belongs to the crocodile-line archosaurs. Its legs sat under the body, so it walked upright rather than sprawling like a modern crocodile.
