Jurassic World Epic Evolution Diplodocus
“The world-famous author Bram Stoker once said “She has the strength and impregnability of a diplodocus.” and now we can see what he meant.”
– Alan Grant
Diplodocus is a genus of massive, long-necked, herbivorous dinosaurs that lived during the Late Jurassic period, around 154 to 152 million years ago.
One of the largest sauropods to have existed on Earth, boasting an impressive weight of approximately 12 tons and measuring about 24 meters in length.
Diplodocus inhabited the Morrison Formation approximately 150 million years ago, during the Late Jurassic period. It preferred habitats near swamps abundant with water and vegetation. The adult Diplodocus likely faced only a few natural predators due to their outstanding size and long and powerful tail. Being long and whip-like the tail might have been used for defense against predators.
