Minqaria Jurassic World Rebirth Frenzy Pack Review
The Miqaria, one of the newest and most obscure hadrosaur species Mattel has ever tackled, arrives in a Rebirth Frenzy Pack with a surprisingly refined sculpt.
A Family Reunion in Plastic: The Neovenatoridae Connection
This is a weird review since I am not much into the herbivorous dinosaurs, nor is there much information on the Miqaria other than the fact that this is a pretty new and still not very studied ornithopod dinosaur.
Mattel creating a figure of it this quickly is genuinely unusual, and is part of a visible pattern of the Rebirth line leaning into obscure and newly discovered species. Still, due to the very close resemblance, we will compare it to the Dominion Iguanodon as they share the same group of bipedal or quadrupedal herbivores, such as the Hadrosaurs and the Iguanodons.
How Does It Compare to the Dominion Iguanodon
Both figures are exception in their own way but the Miqaria takes the first place with its fine and crisp details from top to bottom.

About the Toy
1. Sculpt and painting
For a frenzy pack, the Miqaria sculpt is exceptional. The crest is well-defined and textured, the beak is cleanly done, and the scale work varies noticeably across the body. Fine scales dominate the face and neck, shifting to larger scales through the torso before returning to finer work in the tail.
The Miqaria uses a pleasing blue as its base with a warm brown crest. There is also brownish speckling across the body adds a small but welcome point of variation.
The scoot-like appearance along the spinal column is characteristic of Mattel’s recent output and carries through convincingly. The walking pose, with one front leg lifted mid-stride, gives the figure a sense of motion that static poses do not.
2. Action Feature & Articulation
As a frenzy pack, the Miqaria is by nature a more static figure, and that is exactly what you get. You get to move the neck up and down, the legs are moving forward and back and the tails can be swivelled.
- Neck (up and down)
- Front legs (forward and back)
- Rear legs (forward and back)
- Tail swivel (decorative)
Verdict Should I buy it?
Without question. The Miqaria is quite more exciting, species-wise, although unstudied and kind of brand new, its sculpt is arguably every bit as accomplished within the smaller frenzy pack frame. It is a worthy collectible addition by virtue of its extreme rarity as a species, and is the stronger figure relative to the expectations of its format.

3. About the Minqaria
The Minqaria roamed the planed during the Late Cretaceous period, specifically the Maastrichtian age, approximately 68 to 66 million years ago. The Minqaria is one of the most recently described ornithopods in the fossil record. Known primarily from partial skull material, it has been identified as a distinct hadrosaur-type species, though the limited fossil evidence means that much of any reconstruction, including Mattel’s figure, involves informed guesswork based on related species. The decision to produce a figure of such a new and fragmentary animal is unusual for a major toy manufacturer and reflects the Rebirth line’s willingness to explore far beyond the core Jurassic Park roster.
The Iguanodon is significantly larger. At approximately 12 inches (30 cm) in length and 4.25 inches tall, the Dominion Roar Strikers Iguanodon is considerably bigger than the Miqaria Frenzy Pack, which measures around 7.25 inches (18.5 cm) in length and 3.25 inches in height. The size difference reflects the different formats rather than real-world animal sizes.
Yes, Miqaria is classified as an ornithopod in the hadrosaur lineage. It is an extremely recently described species known from limited fossil material, which means the sculpture Mattel produced involves considerable interpretation based on related animals.
Both have been noted as strong repaint candidates precisely because their sculpt quality exceeds their factory paint apps. The Miqaria in particular, with its crisp scale work and interesting crest geometry, has been highlighted as one to customise when it becomes readily available in stores.
If you want a more playable, larger, and more articulated figure: the Iguanodon. If you are a completionist or collector interested in the most obscure and newest species Mattel has covered, the Miqaria is the more exciting and historically significant pickup. Both are worth owning if you collect hadrosaurs or ornithopods.
